On Skynews this morning they announced the fact that Prince has left so much material behind that they could release an album a year for the next 100 years %%

I didn't know that Prince wrote Sinead O'Connor's big hit,  "No one compares to you."

Richard, regarding Percy sledge, you are right he died a year ago, after giving the wife a telling off, for telling me that, on looking on the net apparently twitter last night got it wrong and said he had just died.

It's OK cornishlad - I had a scout about, and evidently somebody on twitter had said something along the lines that
Percy Sledge and Prince were together again(?) and everybody then assumed that Percy Sledge had (just) died
everybody else then re-tweeted? it like mad.    Isn't the Internet and modern communications wonderful!

I've been caught out before with stuff popping up on the most-read section on the BBC
News website and then found that it was an old story somehow pushed up to the top of the list.

Slightly off topic but there is a highly recommended programme about the Everly Brothers on BBC 4 this evening at 9pm.

Unfortunately I'm not. My musical memories go back to "Uncle Mac" on the BBC Light Programme on a Saturday morning, followed by two sacred hours of Brain Matthews' 'Saturday Club'. Bless him but old Brian is still there at the same time on BBC Radio 2 after well over 50 years. He's been on my Died This Year list for over a decade!
There will be many more - it's just the way things are.

My son asked me if I had heard that 'Prince' had died, I misheard him slightly and said. 'Oh no - not on his wife's Birthday?'   :D

My children - and there are 5 of them - copied some of the antics of Burt Kwouk, when they were younger, attacking me from all sorts of unexpected places and at various times of the day and night.
Must say it turned into the highlight of our day / night. Great fun for us all. O0

R.I.P. Burt Kwouk.

Regards,

Ray.

Sellers is probably waiting, hidden in the cupboard with a pair of Nunchuks!
