Deans Marine RTR boats...
« on: February 07, 2016, 10:17:25 pm »

Anybody had any experience with either of the two Deans Marine RTR boats...namely the Vosper RTTL (http://deansmarine.co.uk/shop/product_info.php/cPath/109_58/products_id/2728) or the RNLI Lifeboat (http://deansmarine.co.uk/shop/product_info.php/cPath/109_58/products_id/2728)

Any comments, good or bad, on either, would be gratefully received.

All I can say is (with no experience of the company at all) that the Vosper Air Sea Rescue Launch looks a very fine model for it's price and in my humble opinion the nicer of the two to buy.

I'm sure you are aware they are nowt to do with Deans least the Rttl is not. Thats been around under various flags I nearly bought it from Antics a couple of years back when it was Made? by Nautix . Agree it looked fine i think  they are all made by the same wee guy in darkest china  I have Graupners Bismarck ./Pt 596/ Robbe fireboat  all the same internals and   the Bismarck has the same identical Props as the PT boat

If you google Nautix rttl artr  antics seem to still have it  for£329

Thanks for the replies, guys...it's really the lifeboat that caught my eye, seems a nice handy size, and plenty of scope for after market detailing. Plus I've never had a lifeboat in all the years I've been playing about with model boats.

If I'm a good boy, I'm told there might be room for the lifeboat...

Well, room will be limited to one sub (the Akula), the MotorFlote) and maybe something else small....and I've never yet had a lifeboat, so.... ;D
