I don't know of any compatible Rxs. Speaking to the rep yesterday, there is a possibility of some R7m receivers becoming available some time soon. Watch this space...

I was looking for a new Planet Receiver this week, and noticed that a lot of the usual suppliers are out of stock. is there a supply problem?

There's a rumour going around they are not making them anymore, I found some today at Midland Helicopters Ltd.

They are getting rare!

Have you tried Howes? https://www.howesmodels.co.uk/    I sourced 1 from them back end of last year.

Try finding receivers or the spring kit for the left hand stick!

Give Steve Model Bits a ring as he has some of the springs for the transmitter as he bought out A traders stock and I KNOW for a FACT there were quite a few in that stock

As of last week, Mantua Models in Dedworth Windsor had both T5 and the new T7 in stock, plus receivers for both.  It should be noted that as the newer model gains ground it is likely that the T5 may eventually become superceded.  I have recently acquired a new T5.  The new T7 version has more channels and controls, but the Rx for it is more expensive and is not compatible with the T5 system.

HI having checked with SHG model supplies this morning I was informed that some of the planet stuff was getting harder to find . I checked with Perkins this afternoon and they confirmed the following.

Full sets of Planet 5 and 7  have finished.

Planet 5 receivers still in stock until sold then finished

Planet 7 receivers  still available for how long?

This information was supplied from Perkins the wholesale retailer  to the trade outlets hope this helps.

I understand the servo shop still has r/x in stock also flying models Leeds and I am sure many model shops will still have stocks of this product.

HI Just checked with Perkins again and they confirm that the planet systems are now finished. The new radio system is called IKONIK ka_6 this will not be compatible with the planet systems. If you need any more info contact Perkins direct and the will confirm this information. Not sure if orange rx will work with Planet if it does then so be it.

I read that they were developing a planet compatible receiver. They already have spectrum and futaba covered s on reason why not. More so now genuine ones are being phased out. I guess it's down to demand.
