That was merely the unfortunate failure of a single water pressure connection to the ballast tanks, resulting in pumped water entering the hull.  I am sure most of us have had a water ingress failure over the years, especially in a boat designed to take on water ballast (ie submarine).  I assure everyone she is fully watertight, and not the subject of the big joke make of the incident at Wicksteed.

If you want to see her sail come to Black Park.

Bob you know I intend to. I want nothing more than to see her sail properly. I followed the whole build through and was finally looking forward to see her last year. When I turned round and saw that she was submerging and you were trying  to get her back to the side.

Well the weather held off. I saw Bob's Polythemous sail for about 3 hours and he won a prize for it not sinking!
Turnout was low, but us at the Luton club still enjoyed ourselves. Some Good and unusual boats on display with plenty of interest from the public. Loads of sail boats this year, unlike last year there was some wind today.
Many thanks to all those who attended and to Blackpark MBC

The now trusty HMS Polyphemus has logged many sea miles in the last year, including the Beale Park, Wicky, and Alsfold Shows.  Always good to see you Sir  :-))

Request from Nick re pictures, here is some proof (tee hee).  PS See you at Ron's next Saturday Nick  O0
