calder craft north light help

hiya lads I am building the calder craft north light, lovely kit however have a small problem, it seem the cargo hatch is too small for the hole in the deck. has anyone built this kit and found this out?i did call jotika and was told it was me it does fit, however today I tried again, gave it a gental push down and split the hatch cover. any help welcome , glen

Can you show a picture please.  If the cover is too small then it should have fallen through the hole.   %)

Was there a coaming or any edging to the "hole", a picture would help.

Hi Glen

The instructions point out that the hatch coamings should be made to fit inside the plasiic former before gluing in place. (I think this means that Jotika are right!  O0 ). If you have glued the coamings in place, you simply need to make the hatch cover a bit bigger to fit over them. You can probably still use the split plastic former to make the cladding pieces a snug fit over the coamings (although I haven't haven't bothered to use it at all for my Northlight).
