Why not come along to Balne Moor on Sunday and have a go at the scale steering courses?

There will be a course for large boats and one for small ones, so it does not matter how big you boat is.  £1 per entry.

As usual activities will start about 10.30 and hot sandwiches will be available until about 13.00  Tea, coffee and cakes available all day.
Instructions for you sat nav: DN14 0ER. Check out our website on the link below.

That's a shame Stan, but we understand how busy the hobby keeps you!

Depends what you mean as to other similar events.

We have the weekend event of the 13th and 14th August.

On the Saturday there will be scale sailing, the difference is it will be a twilight event, so people need their nav lights.

On the Sunday there will be scale sailing and tug towing.  That is the Roses Regatta, so there will be an element of competition.

Have a look at the link at the foot of this post, the contacts page on the website has a map showing the location of the pond.

You need to drive to Doncaster and then get onto the A19 northbound towards Selby.

Follow that through Askern then in about 2 miles take the right turn (Balne Moor Road) signposted Rawcliffe I believe (if you get to the village of Whitley you've missed the turn).  Follow that for about a mile and you will go under a railway bridge.  The pond entrance is then on your right.
