Contemplation
« on: July 22, 2016, 05:24:05 pm »

LONG AFTER THE BATTLES WITH THE CLONES SOME B1 BATTLE DROIDS STILL LAY, DEACTIVATED, SLOWLY ROTTING AWAY.

HERE A B1-FCR (FIELD COMMUNICATIONS RELAY) DROID SITS AND SEEMS TO CONTEMPLATE THE FLORA AROUND IT.

This is a 1/6 scale AMT kit that has had scratch parts added: Front mouth piece, relay backpack, piece on chest area, piece on crotch area, grill on back head piece-underneath-not much but just some small details to make it different.

Sad but probably true (in a fictional way of course). Also my favourite droid design.

I like the droid but hated the comical overtones that Lucas added to them. My thinking was to try and add a human emotional reaction from the viewer to the defunct droid.

Yes, Episode 1 was the least 'Dark' of the franchaise. Still, your Vignette does give us pause for thought in the same way Episode 7 does seeing all the old star destroyers etc on the planet Ray thingy comes from. Excellent model Eddie, what else have you tucked up your modelling sleeve?

They were rubbish...as a expanded Star Wars universe they worked rather well, but I thought it was just so lame and cobbled-all of the prequels...but enough of that.

Chuffed you like the little fella, got some RC tanks to finish off but illness has stepped in and put that lot on hold-I only did this piece as it was around 15 parts and easy to do-even this took me two weeks to build and paint  :((

Cheers Pete, this is 1/6 scale, so rather large.
