Hi Stan,
Nice work, Do you think this kit would be suitable for someone with limited experience.
I am trying to buy a few kits now so as I can do them when I finish my working life.

HI Guys pictures showing final fitting of running gear and electrics to make this model tick. I do like to see cables in a nice loom and clipped and tied were possible. Not seen in the pictures behind the sound unit is 2 way switch for lights and radar.

Hi Ned the strip board is for the two gantry lights.Power is taken from the battery via a electronic switch down to the strip board throught the resistors then up the postive leg to each LED hope this ok.

First group of LED now wired up and tested. Just a few pictures showing resistors in place along with wiring for them. Mast and radar drive motor to fit next then final wiring. Pictures showing small radar drive motor fitted into plastic box ready for fitting to wheelhouse roof. Next picture shows cable running down side of wheelhouse this will be covered when the model is finished.

I like the resistor installation method you have used Stan. If a resistor should fail it can be accessed easily enough for replacement O0

I'll file that idea away for future reference. :-))

Hi Brian short and sweet 36 gauge lacquered copper wire very thin but it is so thin it disappears when painted.I twist two pieces together to form a rope clean off areas and tin.Componant Shop supply both copper wire and single strand cable in red/Black hope this helps.

You have done some lovely work there Stan. I like the simlcity of those rods with the floats on right to the working door complete with hook!

The floor looks too posh for a trawler. I like to think the skipper has taste, I wonder what his cabin looks like!!!
