Just a few more pictures showing deck hatches made from styrene sheet and  brass wire. Resin drums from Macs Mouldings. Plastic tube now covers prop shaft finally just some general shots. Hope to get some more work done this week if so pictures to follow.

HI Spud the connectors you have asked about are Multiplex MPX style from Component Shop page 31 in the 2016 catalogue.

Back in the garage again Christmas is just a distant memory. I am now working a radar screen for this model hopefully if all goes well when the radar scanner is turned the screen will also work.

HI al2612 Radar screen now has a map fitted in front of the rotating L E D  ready to fit the front  cover and finish off the detail. Then it need wiring into the radar scanner circuit and hopefully they will both come on together more pictures to follow.

Radar electronic drive unit now fitted in made plastic box and sprayed black  ready to be fitted in the model. Also a very old action speed control this will replace the modern version made by Action again fitted in made plastic box. More to follow.

Not much done today having friends round so my model building is curtailed a little today. Have fitted plugs /sockets for radar wiring pictures enclosed more to follow.

I have started to seal the outside of the hull construction is almost complete will post some pictures of the assembled model prior to painting  hopefully by the end of next week.

I have started to cover outside of the hull prior to priming. I am trying a product from Deluxe models. The resin is water based and it is used in conjunction with a lightweight fibre glass sheet.  More pictures to  follow when primer is applied.

How did you find the Ezecote and Glass cloth? The finish looks very smooth.
