Answer in two parts
1 Product found in my local model shop.

But I think you are asking how I found it to use.The first step is to use the resin to prime the wood then sand smooth.Next step cut the mat place on the model and apply the resin smooth with old credit card or a piece of plastic card. When dry remove excess material sand area covered then apply a coat of resin.Final stage is to sand area remove dust and apply primer.Found it easy to use quick drying brushes easy to clean.

I am now filling small blemishes on the hull sides hope to post pictures this week. During the construction I  used light ply in places but after applying
numerous coats of sealer the grain is still visible. To cure this problem I need to fill the grain and re prime very time consuming. In future will only use L/P for area's that do not need a paint finish.

HI just a few pictures to show how I have removed some timber parts due them been very difficult to seal giving a very poor finish. The defective areas have been skinned with plastic card and finished using evergreen plastic profiles much better finish. One step forward four back.

I have now completed  the rear deck section replacement with plastic card and evergreen sections. The hull now needs some final rubbing down ready for final coats of primer. Cabin is shown in wood ready for white primer coat  and some other shots showing models final look before it goes in the paint shop. Model will be at Ellesmere Port this week end.

Hi Missyd the outboard will form part of deck clutter. No final location for some of these fittings hope this explains.

Stan... I understand. But you could paint and alter the outboarder just like it would have been taken out of the sea with the nets ...  ok2

HI Missyd not sure where some of these items will be placed when the model is finished. Some may not be fitted at all. The idea of something brought up from the sea bed is very novel but who knows time will tell. This is only my second fishing boat, it is being built to go with a model I built 27 years ago, see picture.

Hi Stan.
Watching this superb build has inspired me to finish my Cygnus Revenge after about 6 years sat gathering dust in the garage.
Did you make the search lights or are they purchased if so where from.
Regards Randy

HI randy the lights on the gantry and cab roof are from Jotika sold under the Caldercraft name . The are
deck lamps and they used to be made by Robbe. I can p/m you with part number. Just out of interest  I have replaced the bulbs with LED hope this helps.
