Hi everybody,


Been a modeler for years building various stuff, plastic kits, balsa flying kits, scratch building, so looking at building a Jif.65 sailing yacht for a change. Been reading Racing Sailboats by Chris Jackson for inspiration. Look forward to reading threads in forum.

Hello Mike,


Balne Moor MBC has a yachting section which specialises in jif65s and Dragonforce boats.  There are other classes too.


The yachting section sails at Askern lake near Doncaster.  I don't know where in South Yorkshire you are, but you would be most welcome if you want to come along.


The Club sail regularly on Tuesdays and Sundays.  You can find more details on the website, the link to which is at the foot of this post.

 Madrob, just live down road from you in Wombwell.


Had a look at Balne Moor website Butts, looks interesting. Might have to have a  wander down there one day.
