Snowberry, having now finished the season intact, despite my best efforts at Action Stations to take the stern off with a depth charge (!), she is about to be transformed. I will be converting her into HMS Snowflake, which is an 'almost' Modified Flower Class vessel. She was launched four ships before the modified design was accepted. So she has the bigger bridge, plus extra armament of vessels such as HMCS Charlock, while retaining a slight rake to the funnel, plus retaining cowl vents around said funnel.
I shall be building a new bridge structure, as well as cutting an extra access hatch under the bridge. adding sound and working Aldis lamps. I am about to mold some fittings for it, including ammo boxes and 20mm gun shields, then it will be repainted in a 1944 scheme. Also, sorting out its slight list, caused by having a 1/4" slack, port to starboard in the battery retaining tray. Explains why it sometimes lists to port, sometimes starboard... my mistake!
Looking forward to some serious plasticard work, its been a few years since I played with the stuff, and I fancy getting stuck back in again.
