Hofner Verithin
« on: August 18, 2016, 02:23:26 am »

Back in 1963 I played a mates guitar, it was a Hofner Verithin and I thought it the most wonderful thing. Fast forward about 35 years [all this time i had played all sorts, Fender Gretsch Gibson et al] and I bought a Verithin wreck when in the UK on holiday. The rest as they say is history. I staerted a website to establish a base for these lovely guitars www.verithingeoff.com and my personal collection has grown.

Here are a couple of pics

Very impressive collection, Geoff! My sister's ex-husband was a guitar teacher and two or three walls of their lounge were strung with various guitars and basses. Don't think he had one of these though.

As a fellow musician (organ, piano and keyboards) I know just how attached we can get to our 'babies'. Thing is, I have friends who collect organs like you collect guitars and they take up just a little more floor space! I think the current 'high score' is 13 organs in one house - he has a very understanding (or just simply resigned to it) wife!  :D
