My other hobby is building and running r/c model tucks.
I have been making the Wedico model trucks and trailers for over 25 years now and have acquired quite a fleet of them with various trailers too.
These models are not as well know in the UK as the Tamiya trucks, but they precede them by well over 20 years and are perhaps the best know brand of r/c truck worldwide and have a huge following - especially in Europe.
The essential difference is that the Wedico trucks are made from alloy and stainless steel and screw together more like a full size truck and so just like the full size trucks they can be taken apart for repair or modification at any time.
The range of options including locking differentials and lift axles etc and the extensive range of cabs and aero kits enables every model to be built differently depending on the builders choice.
Now I am retiring I will not be adding any more to my fleet - quite the opposite as some will have to go to help fund the new model boat hobby - but they are good all weather fun and can be run indoors or outside - and without even having to leave the home or garden !
