There's gold in them there hills
« on: August 25, 2016, 08:24:39 am »

The Australian gold rush has never ended.
I should trade my transmitter for a gold detector.  %%
This 4+ Kg. nugget was found this week in the 'Golden Triangle' in Victoria along with a couple of smaller ones.
Just to put things in perspective.   More gold was taken out of one Bendigo mine than was found in the whole of the California gold rush.

Just for my satisfaction, before I come over and start searching, how much would a nugget like that be worth?

About US$1,327.80 per ounce, or per Oz if found in Australia

The value is actually more than the gold price.  %%
Collectors are willing to pay extra for the nugget.   A 3.5 + Kg one sold for about 170.000 pounds in 2014 so this one could be over 200,000 pounds
