rc transmitter issue in the heat / humidity
« on: September 13, 2016, 08:34:05 pm »

Had a weird issue few minutes ago.

just tested my boat and didn't respnd to throttle (channel 3) but if I moved rudder (channel 1) both the throttle and rudder responded. Turn off and back on and fine for a few minutes but then same thing happened and couldn't get into the menu. then left for a few minutes and seam ok.

there is no mixing set on this model and using a 40meg F16 tx.

Only thing different is the heat and very muggy in the room i'm in. ?????

Cheers

Think yourself lucky i sail in the tropics, Here an RC transmitter lasts about 18 months before it rots from inside out  with humidity heat and salty atmosphere outside and aircon inside
Always seem to work ok apart from condensation under the screen which is a pain

If the two channels affected have tracks on the card in the transmitter close together, a bit of damp could cause tracking between the two which could cause them to work together.  The same could be true at the receiver end of things.  Something with another receiver or a mate with a similar transmitter would be handy for doing substitution testing.
