North Sea winches Shield at Balne Moor 2nd October
« on: September 27, 2016, 03:44:01 pm »

Hello Folks,

This is your last chance this season to try tug towing at Balne Moor.

The competition is sponsored by North Sea Winches and will be a 2 tug format. There will also be a scale steering course and free sailing will be permitted provided the competitors are respected.

As usual activities will commence at about 10.30. Tea coffee and hot sandwiches will be available up to about 13.00 and cakes all day until their gone.

Directions to the pond can be found on our website, the link to which is below.

    Hi John,
Jim hasn't been in touch so I presume he's not coming so you'll have to eat all the lemon drizzle cake. See you sunday.
       Cheers,
             Pete. :-)) :-)) :-))

Thank you, and everyone else who turned out to make the day a great close to the season - even the weather was good to us again.

Thank you Mike in particular, for spearheading the removal of the artefacts from the pond, ready for winter.

Look forward to doing it all again in 2017! %%

    Greetings everyone,
Many thanks for another superb days towing once again we had very good weather this time with a breeze to make things interesting. Sadly the last meeting of 2016 so we now have to wait until next year for the fun to commence, a very big thank you to all the organisers the girls in the kitchen and the guys who turn up on a regular basis to make the day special. Can't wait for next year to hone the towing skills.
     Thanks again,
           Pete and the SMBC lads. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))
