SPEED 500E what esc?
« on: September 27, 2016, 08:46:10 pm »

Hello!
I have two 500E that has run happily from M-tronics viper 15 for a couple of years. I have had some problems with them now and would like to try the Action range for a change. There are two 20amp esc as far as I can see, one is stated for 7-12 pole motors. How many poles are the 500E??
Thanks in advance!

Thanks Dave no:1! Yes he came to rescue, Dave no:2.
Ok, so you say I can use the P79 that's good to know. It says on their site its suited for 380-400 motors but I guess you if anyone should know!
It's out of stock at the moment, I guess the P80 should work too if needed?
I don't want the P79S or P80S then?
Thanks very much for your help Dave and Dave M!

P80 will be fine. You don't need the P80S for 5-pole motors.

I think you'll find that the OP specified "trying an ACTion ESC for a change". A second, more careful read of it will verify that.
While there is no doubt that the Microgyros FR40 is a fine example of the genre (I have one myself), it isn't an ACTion one.
I know, because I make those.

Very kind of you sir, but I'll either go for the P80 or wait for the P79. No hurry as I have to get funds first.
Have a nice weekend!
