While doing the day job I came across this story of how a security researcher had used some clever electronics to takeover control of a drone that was using the 2.4Ghz radio spectrum.

It details how the analysis of the radio singles was carried out and how the attacker was able to imitate the original transmitter to take control.

While this is only a proof of concept it does show that it is possible to take over control of any 2.4Ghz radio system.
