A list of our events for 2017, we welcome anyone to come down and join in......You will be made most welcome. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Wallasey Model Boat Society Events List.

MAR…Sat..25th…….Venetian night.    (6.30 pm start)

APR… Sun..23 rd …….Fun Day.

MAY..  Sun..28th……...Tug towing challenge.   
           
JUN.   Sun..25th ……Merchant ship day.

JUL.   Sun..30th ……. Lifeboat Day.

AUG.  Sun 20th …….Cargo Transfer challenge.  (from dock to dock)

SEP..  Sun 24th …….Tug towing challenge.

OCT.. Sat 14th   ……..Venetian night.    (6.30 pm start)

NOV.. Sun 12th……REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY……


PLEASE NOTE: ……In the event of bad weather the events will be held the following Sunday.

On their website are some superb videos - - airborne !!.
Windy conditions, but they are Rock steady !!!.
Very, very good.

The lake available for club/public use is at New Brighton next to Marine park , fairly small 30m x 30m but DEEP 1.5m . . .
Most day's there's an onshore breeze , can be up to Bering sea standards at times , so any model's need to be sea worthy .
The swan 'problem' seems to have disappeared , for now, seagull's are a PEST  <*<  I counted over THIRTY in there today ,the feathers in the water after them is alarming, needs to be scooped out on club day's . . .
A short video by United utilities of their lake cleaning excersize  last March . . . .
