Armed Pinnacle circa 1800
« on: December 15, 2016, 06:57:21 pm »

The first model boat kit I ever built was Pannarts 18th century Armed Pinnacle,  which my then girlfriend bought for me. 30 years married now and she has asked that I do it again, only this time it is only going to be 3 inches long. The original was sold many years ago.
I started out with a block of wood from an old sofa leg and after hand carving, this is where I am up to.

It reminds me of carving the hulls for my tudor fleet, though I cheated and used balsa.

How is it going Footski?

Things are good for me at the moment, thanks for asking.
This hull is now completed. I am in the process if fitting it out with guns, barrels, seats etc. I will try to post some more piccies of her.
