Norbert Bruggen/Caswell Plating
« on: January 02, 2017, 11:45:48 am »

Has anyone here ordered from this company? I can't seem to see how to place an order, and also not entirely sure what I'd need to order. The page for the revell type VII-C kit comes up in english but all the rest is in german. Anyone able to help me?

*edit* Alternatively, has anyone got a link to the caswell plating kit, I can't seem to find anything about it now.

Norbert understands English fine, so you can shoot him an email, or use Google translate for the non -english parts of his website. He takes Paypal, if you're set-up with that.

Caswell business has been transferred to Nautilus Drydocks. There is some changes being made, and at this present time I believe many lines are unavailable, so you may need to wait until a little later in the year if you fancy their conversion kit.

Thanks, it seems they have the SubDriver unit for the Type VII, but it's $565 inc shipping, but then with import fees on top. So looking like the Norbert Bruggen system might be the way to go. Though I've got a niggling feeling there was a reason I didn't buy it before and was favouring the Dave Welch kit, but he no longer does them.

I'll send off an email and see what happens. Thanks.

Norberts kit is more basic, with no ballast system included, but well designed. You can of course add one yourself.
