painting of figures
« on: February 07, 2017, 09:09:19 pm »

Hi all again, Sorry to be a pest. I have this Graupener Wesser fire boat  and I have looked on the net at other peoples fire boat but no one seems to have any figures on them. I would like to put some on mine and have got hold of some 1/32 scale train figures but don't think they will look very good in there present colour schemes lol. Anyone have any ideas as to the correct colours of there clothing please.

The Weser type Fire Boat was brought into service in 1974 so older style dress would also be appropriate.  German Fire Fighters seem to use a lot of black oilskins and a helmet that looked very similar to the classic German military helmet.  Hope the pictures help only one is of a fireman on a boat but they probably wore what the land based firemen wore anyway.
