Willo1...
I must be the worst for not replying in good time!
Not my fault...just spent 10 days in the local hospital..
I'll try post something slightly interesting in a day or two, My XJ is at a local Jag specialist for fettleing.. (is that a word?) spelling ? I dunno...
Think I left my camera in it.. well.. hope I did..ha ha
Back soon..
JaB.
Sorry to hear about trip in hospital, hope you recover quickly. I myself had surgery recently and it still taking a toll on me, which is somewhat limiting my garage activities :(
Nice, i do have a soft spot for XJ's
I had an X308 4.0 V8 last year which i bought to use the V8 out of in my Capri, but have now sold.
My father has an X300 3.2 straight six, but it is another project and a horrible Jaguar electric issue which prevents it starting intermittently. Drove me mad, so i ignoring that car at mo.
For me the only Jag that could do with the family is an XF Sportbrake, but i spent all my money on various hobbies so no chance of affording one haha
My Alfa GTA v6 just failed its rear suspension whilst mid corner at the legal speed limit, the rear spring seat let go and therefore made the car very unstable. Lucky no one hurt and the car was pulled to a standstill quickly. My fix is to replace all suspension dampers with new, so i have got some KW stainless coilovers being built for me as we speak.
My wifes family Alfa estate has just come back from a major service and has 150k+ mile son the clock and running super strong after remap and alot of new parts. Still looks like a shed, but can out run a Civic Type R even towing a small trailer(don't ask! But i bet he felt bad and sold it soon after haha)
