Lifebelt colour

does anyone know what colour lifebelts were in 1920s/1928  asfar as i can gather they were either white with boats name on,or  a pale red  with 4 silver bands   any help would be appresiated ..paddy

The ones I have seen at lifeboat station and on some of the models were red with reflective strip (silver)

I would not have thought reflective
Silver bands were used in the 20's.
All the ones I have seen on the rare
colour photos have been white with
the ship's name and sometimes Port
of Registry.

thank you for that  ned   white  possable with name, it is,, :-))   i thought the white with red bands were too moden
