Slip eccentric
« on: February 14, 2017, 01:01:48 am »

Hi everyone this is my prototype single cylinder steam engine reverser please excuse shaky video was hard to do one handed so hope you get the idea and also for this to work the steam supply needs to be completely cut off so I am working on an improved regulator, it uses a sail servo lots of torque .

Yes great idea, with the steel gears it looks strong and will do a good job.
Good thinking.

Very clever. Took watching  the video before I could slap my forehead.

Using a servo and an interrupted gear to create a disengage-able jacking motor was brilliant.

Well done, my only concern would be making sure the engine throttle stops the engine before the reverser operates.
