I was invited along to film by the Surface Warship Association. The public really enjoyed their display put on by them and the Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team. You can't beat scale warship, submarines, smoke and explosions.

A joy to watch - well done, to all those involved, in what must be a quite difficult thing to organise and run and long may this sort of display continue. :-))

...and who knows, it might get some of the next generation to take up these or similar hobbies.

Regards,

Ray.

It is a bit of a challenge to get all your ducks in a row for this sort of display to happen. Behind the scenes there were issues to deal with involving Health and Safety ( lifejackets, pyrotechnic safety distances, trip hazards (!)), transport of pyrotechnics through an operational Naval Base, getting all the models up to standard after five months lay up over the winter, the weather as usual, and just getting back into our usual routines. The video is probably the best I have seen to show one of our displays in action. That commentator seems a talented chap too %)

Personally, I think the commentator could have done with a bit more practice !

Joking aside Alan, it was a good week end. We had good feed back from the public for both the PMBDT display and the SWA stand.
