Hi Jim
Deluxe materials glue n glaze it is really good
glues glazing to wood plastic fibreglass even painted surfaces
dries quickly and doesn't fog the glazing.

Hope this helps

I believe 'foam safe' Superglue also doesn't fog....

Canopy 500 is the preferred glue for glazing , it is white in colour but dries clear and it will not fog .

I have it on good authority that this is the best way, quick, simple, and no shading, smearing or any opaque finish to the plastic.

And it apparently sticks the proverbial to the blanket.

Jim.
Probably great in 12 inch to the foot applications, less so on a model.  Canopy glue, made for the job.

no, he uses the 2.5 mm on all his models, and it works incredibly well. waterproof too.

I have used...Medium or gap-filling foam safe cyano (my favourite is Supergold + from Hobbyking), Deluxe materials R/C Modellers glue (Old name) now called Canopy glue, Xelcobond clear foam glue from Starloc, Copydex.
All of these are very good, easy to use and won't fog up the clear sheet....my overall favourite is Canopy glue, put on with a toothpick. If you get any overlap onto your clear acetate, it dries clear and can be peeled off if you are careful.

Cheers...Ron.

Tried double side taped at the behest of another modeller of repute, oh great result until the moisture starts to wreak its magic. What a mess, ended up making a new super structure. I sail my models in all weathers, the other shows them off and very seldom get the bottoms wet. Water, the giver and taker. Needless to say,I have never used this system again. nemesis

A belt and braces answer, I have used the double sided tape, but!!!, cut the width by about one third, put this in place allowing a decent overlap of the clear styrene, this way you will have your glazing in situ, now the the braces bit, with a cocktail stick gently apply canopy glue around the edges of the clear styrene, this way you don't have the annoying slips that inevitably happen when trying to fit and glue at the same time, I developed a lot of grey hair before I adopted this method.
