New vertical boiler
« on: September 08, 2017, 08:28:00 am »

A fellow steam enthusiast has had great fun sailing his Victoria steam launch. He was however not satisfied with the horizontal boiler which to his eyes just didn't look right. Then came the problem, boiler manufactures are thin on the ground. Just as he started to search for a boiler a new company came on the scene.
The attached photos show the vertical boiler from Pendle steam boilers Ltd. Don is chuffed with the performance of the boiler with after sale service being second to none. I have no connection with the firm other than wanting to share positive views about a product. Anybody dipping their toe into steam model boats would not go far wrong with one of these boilers.

It's a TVR great little engines although they take a bit of effort to set them up correctly. more than enough power for this boat Don runs it on half throttle most of the time, gets 18mins running time without using the feed pump about 40 mins with the pump.
