Season's first sail at Balne Moor
« on: March 04, 2017, 11:50:55 am »

Hello folks,

It will soon be time for the start of the 2017 season at Balne Moor MBC.

Our first event takes place on Sunday 12th March.

This will be a free sailing session so you can bring what you've built in the winter and try it out.
Because it's Balne Moor there will always be tug towing, but the event is open to any vessel and
there is no sailing fee.

As usual activities will kick off at about 10.30. Details of how to find the pond can be found on
the website through the link below.

Hot drinks and sandwiches available until about 13.00 and cakes until they're gone.

Hi Butts,
All been well, Sam and I will be popping across for a sail , but can only stay for a few hours.
Hopefully also trying out our oversized springer with a bow thruster.
Looking to seeing you all again

That's great news Spud.

Unfortunately other commitments prevent me from being there on Sunday, but I know the rest
of the crew will make you and Sam welcome.

Sorry I missed this folks, but owing to the fact I was on nights... I'd have probably fallen asleep at the wheel!
As it turns out, I left work at 02:10 in the early hours of 13/03/17 because Kelly went into early Labour! We now have a wonderful little boy, born at 02:24 that same morning. Named Austin Rory Sean Goodin. 5 weeks early but healthy and a good weight too.  :-))

Excellent news Adam, congratulations to all of you.

Hope Kelly, baby (and you !) are doing well.

We knew you had an April date so had wondered if you'd stayed at home for safety.  Guess that was the case!!

Hope to see you all soon

 Hi Adam / Kelly.
Congratulations, Nice to hear we have a new up & coming tug tower, we will have to make him a barge to sit in for a while till he gets
the hang of things {-) But what a name.  Austin Rory Sean Balne Goodin- Moor. Bet you are alright shouting all that when he's not
 come in for his tea.  :-)) {-) {-) {-) {-)

 All the best

 Him at Balne Moor.

{-)  Thanks poll, much appreciated. I think just Austin will suffice, not many people called that name.

Already thinking of a toddler friendly barge with seat belts/a harness...but I highly doubt I'd get away with it.
