Topic: Tug towing and scale sailing at Balne Moor 9th April (Read 7325 times)

Come on all you tuggers,

Balne Moor is holding its first tug towing competition of the season on Sunday 9th April.

The format will be for two tugs to tow vessels through a set course. £1 per tug, and/or you can sail your boat through a steering course for £1.50 per boat.

As always activities will kick off at about 10.30. Details of how to find the pond can be found on the Club website through the link
below.

Hot drinks and sandwiches available until about 13.00 and cakes until they're gone.

Yes folks come along and have a go, it's better then sailing round a empty pond you may have better skills then you think, there is
always someone there to help or sail with, or may be a chat. see you there

Just to whet your appetite, a couple of tugs check out the new layout at the pond.

No we were not cheating, we do not know the course for the weekend. That will be set out by a non tugging member

No problem at all.

You can have a go at the scale steering if you want or you can just free sail if you prefer.

There is just one stipulation, keep out of the way of the boats in both competitions.
