Advice needed mtoniks w tail mixer

When installing a w tail mixer, are two esc's needed or will one be ok?

yes you do need 2 esc's

The mixer mixes two signals (usually a throttle and a steering channel) from the receiver to give two different signals to control two ESCs which then control the two motors.
