SPACE 1999: MARSBASE ALPHA.
« on: April 12, 2017, 10:53:10 pm »

This is based on events after the Moon broke away. Earth is in a bad way, tectonic upheavals, tidal locked.

The space administration had already started to look to Mars as the next step from the Moon. With resources limited the Eagles had to be retro-fitted with very long range fuel and power plants to bring personal and equipment, they are worn and used and covered in the Martian dust.

The green signifies it is a botanical pod, carrying seedlings grown on route for the Marsbase arboretum.
Scratch made and kit bashed parts for the base and on the Eagle.

My models are not nice, clean and ship-shape. They be mucky, grubby, rusty and smelly.

Thanks mate, some episodes were a bit dodgy but still a visually stunning program.
