Lost on Scale

Aye all,

My new model boat is the Billing Boats "Fairmount Alpine". It's 1:40 scale. Is the proper scale figurines 1:43 / "0" ?
I want to hire the right gang, and they're going to be a tight knit group. So they have to be the right scale!

Appreciate a life line guys.
Thanks :-))

Should be about as close as you can get. Check out the range from Preiser in Germany. They do some boiler suited figures in either white or orange, which should look good. Pricey, but you gets what you pays for..

Thanks, I'll look them up

TailUK:
Check out Shapeways (although their search engine can be infuriating)  A 1/40th scale figure should be 45mm tall and while you could get away with using 1/43rd scale they are noticeably smaller (4 mm) than 1/40th scale.
There's a guy who trades on Shapeways under the name Panzer Vs Tanks.   https://www.shapeways.com/shops/panzervstanks   He does a lot of really useful figure sets include Merchant marine crewmen.  I think it's relatively easy to rescale a figure in the computer and then you get them printed out by Shapeways.  Contact Panzer Vs Tanks and ask him about resizing, he's a pretty good guy. HTH

thanks TailUK
