Your planking is really nice and neat. I like the bottom, interesting to see a sloping bilge rather than a flat one.

%)...chip.....[modern designs!] she has some very unwomanly looking underlines  <*<......but I am sure all true to design and your planking is going at a great rate of knots....what type of wood are you using?

Do you rip your own planks with your PROXXON table saw?

Hi Brian,
if it is of interest to you, here is how we do our hulls on the cnc.  Pros and cons for PoF & cnc but as Ballastanksain says the sterns are becoming as complex as the bows.
If it interests you i have posted a very short clip of our prosess of 'cutting' the stern here -

Your doing well in a very short time!

I am using pine and hardwood Derek, to be honest I ripped an old door up for the hardwood LOL. The proxxon is a good saw but the amount of planks that are required it would be a bit much for it, I have a Dewalt bench saw that I used  :-))

i used 9mm ply for the frames and base, I have a dewalt table saw that i use for the straight cuts and a band saw for the shapes.

A small update,  I am now at the part using the fillers and sanding then more filling and sanding I find this is the worst part of the build.

Here is the latest update on the Grampian plug, i have fitted the belting bars and given her a coat of primer, i find this is the best way to show any small faults that need extra fillers and then more sanding. she is beginning to take shape.

First Hull from the mould, the belting bar was remove from the plug before the mould was made, it just did not look right.
