If it is a new Dx6, then only DSMX receivers will work
Older Dx6 X transmitters work with both Dsm2 and Dsmx.

The Orange DSMX receivers should work fine with your DS6E, as well as any other orange or spektrum DMS2 receivers

Thats what I said earlier.
DSM2 was banned from use after DSMX was introduced.
The first DSMX transmitters were backwards
compatible with DSM2, then the DSM2 module was removed from later transmitters.

Netleyned - thanks for the update, I wasn't aware it was banned  :D
I had an older DX6e which worked fine on both, I now have a newer DX8 which also works fine on both modulations, only thing is before binding it to a rx, is I have to go into the settings on the tx first and tell it what type of modulation I want it to bind to DSM2 or DSMX and can also select the frame rate, so not sure how the DX6E works as on Spektrums website it states it is DSMX & DSM2 compatible.

I think if you were to update the Spektrum software it most likely will remove the DSM2 option so read the update details FIRST  :-))

Any sent back for repair have the dsm2 option
removed.
If you own an old set you can still use it but
it is not allowed to be sold new now.
