Model shops Lancaster

Travelling up to Lancaster tomorrow , can anyone tell me if there are any model shops still around in this great city .

Unfortunately, google is not really your friend in this case.  It makes no allowance for businesses ceasing or moving so old links to what was there persist.  The images on Google Streetscene can be a few years out of date and might show a business that was there a few years ago, and the fact that so few buildings actually have a visible street number doesn't help.

There was a large model shop in Lancaster but it closed down 6 weeks ago due to on line buying. Very sad

MHW in Lancaster  that shut 6 weeks ago is about to reopen in Morecambe under new owenership, it only closed due to the owner Andy Boom retiring after nearly 30 years!!

Do you know where about in Morecambe, Mark, and is it anyone who was at the Lancaster shop that is now opening up.......would be nice to see such a shop in the town as I quite enjoy a trip up there now and then with friends, but usually either sit in the car or on the prom whilst they charity shop, lol. would give me an incentive to have a little walk

It was one of the regulars at the shop whos taken it on, they have sorted the premises but i dont know where yet, they have a facebook site tho if you use such things, apparently they have all the suppliers and distributors in place now, will be definately worth a look when they open, will post here when i hear what day their grand opening is...
