Just over 5 weeks now to our summer open day. Like most years visiting clubs and trade support raffle free car parking. All day sailing or static displaying it up to you. Last year we had a large selection of models on display more updates to follow next month.

HI All just a week away now. I will confirm trade support later this week. Busy at the moment getting all the raffle prizes sorted my tent and tables ready plus some spare tables. I need to check the P/A system change any old batteries. If you are planning to visit us and the forecast is good I would advise to be on site no later than 10 30 AM more to follow.

Just back from kirklees wow it was hot,had a great time and very well attended thanks to Stan and the crew for putting on a as usual a fantastic event.

Hello,

Got home from Kirklees shattered, but VERY happy !!!!!!.
A real good turnout from Clubs and Traders - - the side of the lake was packed !.
Must have been close to 2 dozen clubs represented with Members or Stands.
Loads of fantastic models on show and on the water.
Everything seemed to go very well - - - lots of laughing and chat, really enjoyed myself !!!!.
Looking forward to the next Show there.

After many months of planning and checking the weather forecasts I am pleased to say we were rewarded with a gloriously sunny day and very warm. Lots of different models on display including submarines, hovercrafts, naval vessels, tugs, warships, fishing vessels, lifeboats, steam powered models, a QE2 model built from aluminium, club 500s, cargo vessels and some very nice large model yachts. I have enclosed a list of clubs/club representatives who attended today: Leeds & Bradford MBC; Potteries MBC; Sheffield MBC, King Lear; Goole; Runcorn; Liverpool; York; Redcar; St Helens; Bridlington; Buxton; Castaways Hull; Mutual Model Boat Society; Rawdon; Askern Sailing Club; Grimsby & Cleethorpes; Vicar Water Models and Claro Marine. Trade support was by Mountfleet Models; Deans Marine; Mobile Marine; Tony Green Steam; Scale Flags; Warner Marine. I will be posting unclaimed raffle ticket numbers and some pictures this week. Signing off now it has been a very long day. Thanks to all.
