Help identifying kit parts. 1/12 Severn
« on: June 17, 2017, 07:24:20 pm »

Can anyone help me understand how to utilise some of the etched parts for the flying bridge control panel?
The radio is obvious but the other bits have me puzzling.
Thanks in advance

Hi Les,
OK, the top left is the hinge for the engine control panel, it has a perspex cover to protect the dials.
below are the throttle levers, not used on the Dover Severn as the engines have been changed and with that the throttles( see Kims photos of the instruments and fittings on his Shannon blog). The ring with edging is on this panel centre bottom, the plain rings are the rev counter bezels fitted side by side on the top of the panel. there are two brackets, I assume for the radio speaker and the round speaker starboard side of flying bridge for the talkback system. the two rectangular plates are also for the instruments and the round etchings are representing the switches and other items that are on the startup panel to the starboard side of the central raised steering position.
Again these can be seen on Kims photos of my Severn instruments on his blog.
 Hope that helps.
