Aeronaut Pilot Boat - Motor Size
« on: June 19, 2017, 04:21:30 pm »

As a newbie would appreciate any advice on motor size for Aeronaut Pilot Boat. 500 was recommended by supplier, against Race 400 suggested by Aeronaut. So I bought 2 x Mtroniks 500's these appear very large in physical size and weight plus the kit mounting bulkhead looks flimsy. Haven't started construction yet but was biased toward this size motor following an overheating 400 size in a Diva I built,  On this point is it necessary to 'run-in' new brushed motors to bed-in the  brushes? Cheers and thanks Crawfie

Why not check out this build thread and see what motors are used in that?
