setting up water monitors
« on: June 20, 2017, 02:46:51 pm »

I have built the 46 inch crash tender, and  want to fit 2 Robbe water monitors.  I have got the monitors and the pump and now need info how to pro-cede ie how to turn it on /off   what battery to use etc.   What parts do I need to purchase.

Thanks and regards Glyn

You could use a Micro switch operated by a servo plugged in to your RX, and wire your Pump through the Micro switch to a suitable battery. Other ways are available.

I have the graupner weser fire boat with working monitors . Fitted a water scoop to keel then used a servo with an extended arm on it to activate a Micro switch as mentioned above . Only addition I did was to program the throw of the servo from my transmitter so it only had to move a few millimetres to activate the pump
