Patch of Black Mould
« on: July 04, 2017, 08:30:17 pm »

Hello, can anyone please help me, I've just got my Fishing boat MFV4 out for pond tomorrow, not used it for a while, I have found a patch of black/greenish mould on the rear of the deck, I have rubbed it off with dry cloth but it is still there though not as visible. How do I get rid of it, I can't take off the deck, could be covered with a fishing net once it is stopped.

Any help really appreciated,

Thanks

Believe it or not Gunk (the engine de greaser) will work a treat (also does a good job on UPVC window frames), failing that a little jif (or cif !) with a little washing up liquid  :-))

If it is mould try bleach. Removes and mills the spores that make mould

No problem, it's just that I am very proud to have been allowed to take the helm of the Tamar and guard the experience well.

So you should be, it must have been a wonderful experience for you, a few years ago I saw a RNLI, RIB going flat out it was amazing just seeing her skim the waves, I'd loved to have been on her,

Kind Regards,
