Hi The old Fart
Thank you for the link for the self center-ing throttle kit.
I found the throttle tension bar also!!!

We have a few lads that use tank steering on their tugs and barges.

Hi The Old Fart
After our club day, we made up an order between us and I ordered a stack of parts for the radios.
Some poor sod has to install all this and I get the feeling is going to be me!!!

Well, well The Old Fart
It started, I received my bits today, so with the two new gimbals I modified them to start with just to get my brain into this mod.
I removed the tension plate and in the end I did not reinstall it.
Next removed the four screws on the main axis.
Removed the center unit and installed the two metal pins.
Stand the center black arm in place, the little hook end faces down.
Reinstalled the gimbal center section and reinstalled the four screws.
Mounted the hook piece with the screw, note this ONLY sits in place and dropping in is a dam hard bit to find again.
A bit of blue tack would be handy to hold it in place!!!!
Next is the fun bit, the dam spring.
Use a length of strong cotton(thank you wife) or wire and loop around one end.
Hook onto the center black arm hook end and stretch onto the other hook piece.
Adding some pics to help out others so they get an idea of process.

Thanks again OLD FART !!!!

Hi Guys
Installed two replacement modified gimbals in my two radios.
The only problem is removing the small connector from the gimbal.
Unscrew the gimbal from the radio so you can wriggle the connector out.
After that it's ease going!!!
Add a few pics to help.
