Billings 1:40 Waveney Lifeboat RC build
« on: July 28, 2017, 03:10:32 pm »

Hi All, I've just recently purchased a 1:40 billings Waveney Lifeboat as my introduction into rc boats. I have a lot of experience building other RC vehicles over the last 30 years I've never made a boat. I just a few beginners questions.

Would 140 motors be ok for this dual prop boat? (Its 363mm long).

Do I just need to buy couplings to attach the motors to the props? I assume 2mm ones are ok?

To keep it waterproof I assume I need to expoy the top deck onto the hull. How would you attach the other parts which can be removed for access, Velcro ok?

I've been making RC kits for over 30 years (Cars and the occasional quad) but boats is very new to me.Thanks
