The International Model Boat Show is the only 3-day marine modelling exhibition dedicated to all aspects of marine modelling - an event not to be missed! It is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading marine modelling exhibitions and takes place from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.
Organisers are expecting 3000+ visitors, who will be able to enjoy in excess of 600 models from over 25 clubs and societies, where some of the finest marine models will be on display. The excellent and varied displays include everything from early warships to modern power boats – all of which will be complemented by action on the large indoor boating pool.
There will be more than 20 specialist suppliers present, offering visitors everything they could need for their boat and modelling needs and attendees will be able to view new technologies and buy newly available products.
Exhibitors will once again be vying for the prestigious ‘Society Shield’, which is voted for by the clubs and societies themselves and will be awarded to the best club display in the show – will King Lear Model Boat Club retain their title for a second year?

This year sees the introduction of a Tamiya Truckin display arena. This will integrate a very closely linked hobby to the core model boat show and also introduce a new selection of exhibitors and interests. The Tamiya Truckin team will be demonstrating and driving their 1/14 scale radio controlled models on a roadway system over 80 metres square. This fantastic arena will feature radio controlled 1/14 scale trucks, plant and machinery.

Final Countdown to the International Model Boat Show – Get Ready To Set Sail
The International Model Boat Show 2017 returns to the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November 2017.
It’s the final countdown to the launch of the 2017 International Model Boat Show which will take place from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.
Over 3,000 visitors are expected to attend the show and enjoy over 600 models on the club and society displays. Over 20 of the leading specialist suppliers will also be present.
Exhibition Manager, Avril Spence said “We are looking forward to welcoming our visitors to one of the UK’s leading marine modelling exhibitions the show this year. Along with all the normal attractions and suppliers for visitors to enjoy and meet there will be a Tamiya Truckin display arena.
As always the large indoor boating pool will be in full use as all the club members sail their models for the visitor’s enjoyment. Some clubs demonstrate as a group such as the RNLI with commentary which visitors find is really interactive and enjoyable. The Surface Warship Association will again lead a poignant sailing tribute at the poolside during the two minutes silence on Remembrance Day.
For younger visitors there will be ‘children’s sailing’ on the pool for their own experience of remote control boating.
