Deans Marine DUKW build

Hi
I am trying to build the Deans Marine Dukw, any advice or info would be much appreciated.
Still trying to get the suspension and drive working

I am currently on my third version of the drive arrangement, versions 1 and 2 both failed
I will post some pics on my progress

Some pics of my updated drive arrangement.  My previous version using the timing belts skipped teeth when accelerating.
Hopefully this one should be better as it has an geared drive and internal clutch.


Working through the drive for the prop, not much room with the new drive for the wheels.

I last month watched one on eBay sell for £777 I was sharp enough to harvest the photos.

Hi Martin
The gear box is from RC4WD its a scale 2 speed unit with internal slipper clutch.  The drive motor is a 540 brushed motor.
The set up I have used is very similar to the RC4WD Beast II 6x6 scale RC truck.

I have included a transfer case to split the power to the front and rear axles as per the truck The parts are not cheap though with the gearbox around $120US

I have added a couple of pics of the gear box. It would have been cheaper for me to buy the Beats 11 6X6 truck and use the parts for my model
Also the gearbox and motor doesn't leave a lot of room for the motor for the size

Got some paint on it and attached drive and wheels. 
Finally got the correct tyres
