Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has used one these in a boat as I have been given two but it doesn't seem to set up for reverse.

Yes, I got one a while ago. 320 amps is nonsense. 20 is more like it, it would glow like a fire with 320 continuous. The instructions on the eBay page are broadly correct so if it isn't reversing when you follow them something is wrong. There is a lag when using it. Try forwards, neutral, wait a moment then reverse. It was set up for a car.
I put mine in a drawer somewhere and I've bought viper units ever since, it was a horrid little thing, laggy, poor response and just nasty to use. My models take 6 months to a year to make, I don't risk them with dodgy electronics.
Good luck.

I've used loads of these - I'll mirror what's above - 320A is a joke.
I have also found that a slight delay from going from forwards to reverse is needed - if you move the stick too fast, it just goes into stop.

That might be a braking mode when used on a model car.

I've used them with Speed 400 or RS385 motors with no problems whatsoever..

Thanks for your replies, I am not getting into reverse at all with either even doing it slowly, no green light just red.

Are you turning it on with the control stick in the centre? Mine play a little tune when switched on correctly and then work properly forwards and backwards.
