Numbering and lettering
« on: September 21, 2017, 10:23:47 pm »

Now that Barrys Model Lettering seems to have retired who do we now use to get our Letters and numbers from?
Does anyone offer the same kind of service please?
Thanks

BECC via Cornwall models who are stockists and in your area I believe. plus they will get stuff in within 24 hours from BECC and post on to you.

I know neil ordered some special flags from them for his ferry and got them  as specials within 72 hours.

David Leftley Graphics 01295 270910. I have had several graphics sets done by David for both lifeboats and general purpose boats and have always been impressed with the quality and service. Graphics are made to order and I have received mine within a few days of ordering.

for those of you who have a other 1/2 who is a serious scrapbooker.if they have a wishblade (basicly a cnc paper cutter) they can cut out negative images in adhesive contact paper that will stick to the hull as a template..and if you want a color and its's wood they can use a clear embossing ink and coat the negitve mask and  apply the color embossing power you like and hit it with a hairdryer or heat gun or the women have and embossing gun..in almost any size and type font you want.. think it turned out well and since I already paid for the cutter and supplies she obliged...

Try Ians Boats, he has grabbed images from the computer, resizes and prints on waterproof self adhesive backing, all cut out, any size, any style, any image. He does a lot for the Racing boat fraternity.....brilliant.    iansboats@virginmedia.com  0208 252 6702.
He has done loads of stuff for me, very good and highly recommended. Nice bloke too.

Have a look at your local print shop, often they do T shirts and vinyl printing, usually they just need an image to scan then print, some can cut the image as well
