Gear switch dx6i
« on: September 28, 2017, 09:53:43 am »

hi there, this is one for the electronic minded, can I replace the gear switch on my radio
For a potentiometer rotary sw. I want to use the spare channel for a lift motor on my
Hovercraft so it needs to be variable control.
I am using the rachet stick at the moment,

Probably not.
Older radios often just used the switch to select a point on a resistor chain thus simulating a pot.
Newer radios are really computers, and a switch might well just be connected to an input that is only programmed to "see" an On or Off condition.
Someone else with actual knowledge of your particular model might know otherwise.
