Portgarth rc tug boatI have cut
« on: September 05, 2017, 07:25:46 am »

being a newbi  that I am l have cut the Skegs as per plan but there is no fitting instructions.  l wonder if someone could help me their three male components and two skeg cheeks.  l have no idea how to position them on the hull not knowing how to put pictures on here. I am at a loss, it's the first boat I am trying to build having done manly garden related items.  I brought the the boat partly built to give me something to do on winter months.  I brought the template kit and wood pack from Mobil marine models so if someone could help it would be great.
I have feeling lts going to be a long winter.

 thanks o41biger :((

Hi 041 biger

welcome I know just how you feel, the one thing that I have learned in this hobby is "There is NO silly question"

Now onto your question have a look at some of the build's that are on this site of the Portgarth, and if you are still not happy then give Mobil Marine a call, Brian will help you out with as he has helped me out over the year's.

All the best

That's all right, Mr Ryan. My Morse is so rusty, I could be sending him dimensions on Playmate of the Month.

Hi Tom,

I suggest you take a good look at T33cno's full build thread, what he has done with that kit is wonderful and incredibly helpful. I am using it as the benchmark for my own build albeit another tug, the Model Slipway Al Khubar.

Best of luck with your build.
